Genesis Energy is a state-owned enterprise and one of the largest energy retailers in New Zealand. It serves as a dual fuel provider, supplying both electricity and gas to over 640,000 retail and commercial customers nationwide.

Within Genesis Energy’s retail division there was a legacy of processes and suppliers that needed review and assessment against current industry best practice.

Management Toolbox was asked to review financial information, current processes, business needs and the marketplace, and identify potential improvements and opportunities for Genesis, and present their findings and recommendations.

With the assistance of Management Toolbox, Genesis Energy was able to determine supplier capabilities in the marketplace, make an informed decision on the structure of their approach and future service provision in the categories.
