Pfizer discovers, develops, manufactures and markets prescription medicines, consumer healthcare and animal health products. Pfizer’s products are available in more than 150 countries.

Pfizer needed to introduce standardised procurement procedures and increase the level of procurement competency within the organisation. In order to enable the wider staff of Pfizer to make their own sourcing decisions within corporate procurement guidelines, Pfizer wished to establish a small self service environment, that also included tools to assist with sourcing decisions, including RFPs and RFIs.

Pfizer appointed Management Toolbox to devise a procurement policy and framework. Management Toolbox associate Tanya Reid provided the procurement expertise, working alongside a team from Pfizer who held the institutional and organisational knowledge.
