Our Strategic Planning practice exists to assist clients to clarify their purpose, values and vision for the future and to help them to construct their plan to achieve it.

We strongly believe in the old Peter Drucker comment that ‘Culture eats strategy for breakfast’ and we therefore ensure the focus is on creating a strategy that is aligned to an organisation’s values and culture. We use facilitation techniques to get the best out of your people and engage them in the strategic planning process. This ensures increased ownership and commitment from the team and ultimately helps to prepare for execution.  One of the biggest failings associated with strategic planning is actually poor execution.

Management Toolbox develops strategic plans with clients that are:

Our plans are unique in their simple display of the company goals, open assessment of organisational challenges and easy links to objectives and actions that will see the vision achieved. We use facilitation techniques to ensure that your employees are engaged in the process and contribute to getting the plan done. We aim to get as many of your people involved in the process as possible to ensure that it is truly inclusive and owned by the team. The resulting Strategic Roadmap will provide a clear and visible tool that illustrates a clear line of sight, linking actions and tasks to the company vision.

Vision, Purpose, Values Workshops

We first illustrate the importance and inter-dependence of these three aspects of your organisation and then use first-class facilitation techniques to determine your organisation’s vision, purpose and values with your people. Our workshops generally take half a day depending on how many people you want to be involved.

Strategic Roadmaps

Our Strategic plans result in the development of a Strategic Roadmap. This assists an organisation in operationalizing the plan, making it visible and accessible for all employees to see and ensuring a line of sight between the actions needed to be undertaken and the vision – people can see how what they do directly impacts on achieving the vision.

Strategy Development

Our approach is flexible and we work with clients on an individual basis. We use a similar planning approach to that used for the roadmaps, to develop strategy within business units and for smaller organisations that have a particular area they would like to focus on.
